The developed construction project aims to adapt the existing building, which has historical value, to the current needs of its owner, LPP S.A., based in Gdańsk. This industrial, modernist building, constructed between 1924 and 1927, originally housed a well-known tobacco factory. The building now primarily serves an office function. Adapting this facility to a contemporary office function and creating attractive workspaces for young professionals in fashion design required numerous transformations, including the addition of a fourth floor and the construction of a glazed club-café.

The newly designed volume also includes additional functions: recreation, relaxation, fitness, wellness, a club-dining area, and office spaces. The scope of the project also included the renovation and insulation of the building's facade and the development of the surrounding area with elements of so-called small architecture: fencing, entrance gate, bicycle shelter, trash shelter, security hut, and lighting. For the facade modernization project, we aimed to emphasize the industrial character of the building and maintain a stylistically coherent form by preserving the existing vertical and horizontal division of the facade and the plasticity of the existing windows. The surrounding area features contemporary elements that define the new function of the building while harmonizing with its historical context.
The LPP S.A. office building was a laureate of the PZITB "Building of the Year 2015" competition.
