The idea behind the conceptual design is to create a library as a modern cultural center. The proposed spatial solutions are intended to provide an environment conducive to the implementation of a rich cultural and educational program. Both the functional program and the aesthetics of the space are dedicated to individual users as well as groups of various age ranges.
A contemporary library should be a multifunctional space. Its modern aesthetics may draw inspiration from local cultural codes and symbols. The multifunctionality of the designated zones allows for the organization of meetings, teamwork, intimate lectures, and readings. The mobility and adaptability of selected furnishings enable flexible changes in layout, adjusted to the institution’s broad program.

The proposed spatial solutions are intended to provide an environment conducive to the implementation of a rich cultural and educational program. Both the functional program and the aesthetics of the space are dedicated to individual users as well as groups of various age ranges.

The aim of the presented concept is to create a space for various age groups that supports the development of their interests, as well as the harmonious coexistence of functions related to the collection of resources, individual or small-team research work, and the organization of cultural events. The proposed solutions are intended to foster increased interaction between the library and residents, as well as visitors from outside the Tri-City area, and to promote reading and knowledge.
An important element of the project is the integration of creative communities. A key objective is to open the library to a wide audience, among others through the use of glazed walls that allow visual access to selected rooms from the corridor where appropriate and desirable, while maintaining adequate acoustic comfort. Transparency and the interpenetration of spaces are intended to activate users and promote the library, encouraging more frequent visits and strengthening its connection with the cultural life of the city.
